Poll place accessibility for voters with disabilities
Program Summary
The Nebraska Secretary of State has placed a new ADA voting machine in every single polling place. Their staff is currently reviewing poll sites in person for accessibility issues and then offering guidance and funding to remediate barriers. Finally, in cooperation with the state Protection and Advocacy organization Disability Rights Nebraska, the SOS has offered a statewide training for all local election officials about the need for accessibility.
