"Did You Know?" Video Series
Program Summary
Recent history has demonstrated that it is incumbent upon election officials to affirm the public's confidence in the integrity of elections. In light of misinformation and anxiety swirling through the national narrative, the Hamilton County Board of Elections decided to address concerns about election integrity through enhanced transparency.
Our "Did you know"series consists of short, easy-to-understand videos about election processes and procedures, designed specifically for social media. Board Staff film critical functions, develop a script, and edit the videos to be less than a minute long. Topics have ranged from how the Board tests its equipment to how it conducts post-election audits and more. The videos have performed well on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram. They have been shared by local officials, members of the media, and even national commentators.
By showing the public first-hand accounts of how election officials work year-round to ensure an accurate and fair count, the Hamilton County Board of Elections hopes to educate the public and engender confidence in election integrity.
