Clay County 2022 Elections Expo
Program Summary
Like many other election officials, Clay County Supervisor of Elections Office has spent the last 15 months fighting rumors, half-truths, and outright fiction. With the next election season approaching, we wondered how do we combat misinformation, disinformation and mal-information?
Our answer? Open the doors of our building and invite our community in to see the safeguards and processes in place to secure their votes. By taking the mystery out of the elections process, we hope to establish our office as the authority for verified election information. Our objective is to educate the public and build trust upon our tradition of transparency and accessibility.
Our Elections Expo gave unprecedented access to our office and to our staff. We were able to demonstrate many of the procedures and safeguards in place to ensure every election is fair, accurate, and secure. The Expo wrapped up with a Q&A session with Supervisor Chris H. Chambless himself. Having access to Supervisor Chambless helped build our authority and strengthen our relationships with our voters.
