Four Tools to Enhance Election Services
The Township developed a four-prong approach to enhancing election services. The new tools included: a restaurant waitlist management software system to reduce lines and increase efficiency; an online election inspector training video series featuring knowledge-based forms; a campaign to combat misinformation by partnering with the media to produce educational video interviews on mail voting and election audits; and, as inspired by prior EAC Clearie winners, leveraging FEMA resources such as the National Incident Management Systems training to better serve voters. These innovative new approaches helped reinvent how the Clerk’s Office interacts with the public.
The U.S. Election Assistance Commission (EAC) annual Clearinghouse Awards, also known as the “Clearie” Awards, promote best practices in elections and celebrate the accomplishments of election officials across the United States.
