Polling Location Webpage with Wait Times
In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Maricopa County established new polling places, adjusted hours of operation, and offered voters the option to choose from different locations. Given these changes, the county needed an innovative solution to help voters search for voting locations and information. The elections team developed a unique webpage, Locations.Maricopa.Vote, that allowed voters to enter an address to find a convenient Vote Center, ballot drop box, or drive-through drop box location. The site also provided real-time polling place line information and more. Information Technology experts in the Maricopa County Recorder’s Office developed the wait time feature in-house. The program is housed in the county’s unique SiteBook and updated every 30 minutes by poll workers.
