For each state, you will find links to information including the state election office, local election office directory, information about registering to vote and updating your registration, checking your registration status, and options to cast a ballot. The EAC provides summary information pulled from state websites. Voters must verify summary information through linked state and local sources to ensure registration information and timelines are up-to-date.

Update Political Party: In order to change your political party preference, you must re-register to vote. You can re-register to vote by completing a voter registration application online at RegisterToVote.ca.gov.

*California offers same day voter registration. Within 14 days of an election, eligible voters can "conditionally" register and vote a provisional ballot during this time.
