2024 Presidential Election Readiness Series for New Election Officials

This series is designed to provide timely information to help election officials navigate the complexities of administering a presidential election. Each installment of this four-part series includes:

  • Live office hours with EAC subject matter experts for election officials to discuss the topic in-depth, ask questions, and gain further insights

WEEK OF JULY 8 – ELECTION MAIL

The first part of this series will address critical postal considerations for election officials, including recommended contacts, voter education, mail piece design, and security recommendations.

The second part of this series will discuss how election officials can carry out effective communications and outreach before, during, and after an election.

WEEK OF JULY 22 – EARLY VOTING AND ELECTION DAY PREPARATION 

The third part of this series will highlight how election officials can prepare for early voting and Election Day tasks in a Presidential Election ranging from managing the voting process to mitigate voter wait times in a high turnout election, proper allocation of poll workers, equipment, and resources, necessary chain of custody, and efficient reporting of accurate election night results.   

WEEK OF JULY 29 – TRUST, TRANSPARENCY, AND OBSERVERS 

The fourth and final installment of this series will cover how election officials can instill confidence in voters that an election has been administered securely by demonstrating transparency, communicating effectively and allowing public observation.
